Rabbi Ari Spiegler grew up in Baltimore, MD. After studying for two years in Israel at Yeshivat Shaalvim he continued his studies in Yeshiva University where he received a BS in Information Systems. Rabbi Spiegler was granted Semicha from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and earned an MA in Jewish Education from the Azrieli Graduate School, both affiliates of YU.
Rabbi Spiegler moved with his wife, Katie, to Cleveland in the Summer of 2008 and accepted the position of Assistant Rabbi at the Beachwood Kehilla in the Summer of 2010. He is also an active participant in the local Torat Tzion Kollel.
Rabbi David S. Zlatin, the founding Rav of the Beachwood Kehilla, is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia. After graduating from public school, he studied at Yeshiva University in New York. He received his BA in 1972, and MS in Medieval Jewish History in 1977 and received Semichah from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University in 1977. He has served as the Rav of the Hebrew Congregation of Newfoundland in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada, as well as on the faculty of the Dept of Religious Studies of Memorial University of Newfoundland from 1977-1979. Subsequently he was the Rav of Tpheris Israel Chevra Kadisha Congregation in Chesterfield Mo and on the faculty of the Block Yeshiva High School and at the HF Epstein Hebrew Academy. In 1983 he succeeded Rabbi Louis Engelberg as the Rav of the Oheb Zedek Taylor Road Synagogue in Cleveland Heights Ohio. During his tenure there, Rabbi Zlatin instituted an Adult Beginners Service, and a community wide Adult Education program. Many families became Baalei Tshuvot during that time. He also recuieevd an MBA degree from Cleveland State University and has been active in the business community. Rabbi Zlatin is a member of the Rabbinical Council of America and serves as the Menahel for the Rabbinical Council of America, Cleveland Ohio Regional Beit Din L’gerut.
